Share Coffee and Conversation

Finished this kind act? Log it!

The Germans have a word for it: kaffeeklatsch. It means sharing a cup of coffee and news with a friend at home. You can bring this delightful tradition to a senior by taking them a cup of coffee and sharing a few minutes of conversation.

Can’t meet in person? No worries! Enjoy a virtual kaffeeklatsch by having a cup delivered to the recipient and chatting via video call. To create a true, 50s-style “coffee klatch,” bake up an old-fashioned coffeecake to share, too.

I deliver by myself to a old lady, left at the door and chatting by video phone call. Not the same but the warmth of the moment passed through the virtual communication

6 year ago , when I was 82years old my wife and I took a reverse mortgage out on our house
The reason being my son was about to lose his house through foreclosure and him and his 3 sons were going to be homeless because the wife who was the bread winner was also an Alcholic and left them
So my wife and I got a reverse mortgage and found a good hous for them

My Mother has been isolated for over a year. We finally got to take her on a outing. We went to the park and had a picnic. Before she went in the nursing home she would not eat outside. She had so much fun she wants to go again.
