4 Ways to Help a Neighbor
Let your neighbors know how you can help with this custom notecard. Print our “I’m Ready to Help” card. Fill it out and leave it on a neighbor’s door to let them know how you can help.During this time, seniors may be isolated without the normal help they receive from family or others. As people continue to self-isolate and social distance, seniors may need an extra helping hand to get through this time.
Here are four ways you can offer to help:
1. Shop and deliver groceries or medicine.
2. Do yardwork, like weeding, mowing or gardening.
3. Check in every day with a phone call. This can help reduce feelings of loneliness and you can ask if they need anything else.
4. Pet care. Offer to walk a dog, pick up food, drive a pet to the vet or clean up the yard.
To help you get started, download and print this “I’m Ready to Help” card. You can fill it out and leave it with a neighbor.

I have made cloth mask and hand sanitizer and delivered them to a number of my seniors, in preparation for when they will be going out again to do the essentials errands they truly enjoy doing that is being done during this pandemic shelter in place life we’ living.
Thankful to God that so far I have health to be able to help others, I have offered help to a few seniors in my town that I know. Some are neighbors and some are people I know either from church or school that live across town. I really do appreciate these texted ideas and reminders as I believe they help encourage us all as we help others for God’s sake. I myself am senior age and am hoping to have help with some outside things so I would appreciate prayers that I would know what to do and who to contact.
Yesterday my father-in-law turned 80!! Our family had a small birthday party!! We requested friends and family to send him cards. So far he has over 50 cards! He was so excited!

As one at high risk, THANK YOU!!! I am also full-time caregiver & having to isolate. So grateful for those who are making it possible!!!
I call all of my seniors that I used to work for to check on them and let them know that I am here for them in every way if they need me to go shopping or whatever they need, I am just a phone call away! I am going to make a beautiful flower bouquet 💐 for each of them and bring it by there house with a nice card to let them know how special they all are to me, along with a healthy treat for my male seniors so they don’t feel left out too! I love them all and I just want to make sure that they know it!
1. I’m a senior who can’t go out because of Covid-19. I know others too. Getting groceries has been difficult but many, like myself, don’t know who to call.
2. Immigrants who own small businesses but don’t speak or read English well enough could use help filling out forms for PPP and forms to receive small business loans/grants. Not all immigrants speak Spanish or Portuguese. There are immigrant business owners who speak Vietnamese & other language who are desperate for help.
