  1. I need to change from email to snail mail please. I wrote a letter to be sent to a senior and decided I would prefer the U.S. mail. Please advise how to accomplish this.

    Thank you.

  3. There is a lady I met years ago at a party. She has been around quite a bit longer than me. But after meeting her and her husband I feel in love with them both. I could see the resemblance between then and me and my soul mate. She is the best friend I could ever have from her generation 🤩😍. Her husband died 2 years ago, and then her son died last year. She has been thru so much in such a short time. I stop to talk with her as regularly as I can with what’s going on in the world but she loves mini candy bars and peanut butter cups. I write her letters in funny cards and bring her candy it makes her smile and I love it when she really smiles. She is truly my spirit senior 😍😘🥰. When I do this unannounced drop offs I think it really helps bring her back to the here and now that every thing is going to be ok. We love her and need her and she’s important to me especially.

  7. I do this all the time! Ok I send cards, with notes in them, not so much letters. But I sent 7-8 in August alone! And you are right. They love mail. With all of this digital new world, paper and pen, with hand written words, something they can hold, something so simple, those things seem to mean a lot to them.

  9. I have a birthday card ministry in church, anonymously, as I sign it from the church. The older members really love being thought of on their birthday.
But, I also have a special friend, the mother of my best friend since 4th grade. My husband and I make sure to send her cards for all the holidays, postcards to let her know we’re thinking of her, and occasional letters. It’s easier for her to handle short notes more often, than longer letters once in a while, as her memory doesn’t always hold onto a lot of information at a time. She enjoys a card with a short note. Her daughter says she pins them on a bulletin note to make sure she show her when she visits.

  17. I love to send happy mail and cards and letters to seniors especially during this time because I know it’s a difficult time for everyone but especially seniors and I know how much a card or letter in the mail can make a difference.
My mom is 82 and when she broke her hip a few years ago I had asked my friends and family members to send her cards and letters to cheer her up and it made such a difference with her recovery and brightened her day more than I can express in words.
So, at least once a month I try to send cards and letters to brighten up someone’s day.
