I’m Ready to Log It!

This season, reach out to a senior neighbor, friend or relative that may need a hand with common winter chores. By serving seniors in this way, you can help them remain independent and safe in their home.

Grab your gloves and look for these opportunities to serve seniors this season.

  1. Shovel the driveway or sidewalk
  2. Scrape ice off a car’s windows and mirrors
  3. Clear a path for their dog
  4. Offer them a ride
  5. Check windows and doors for drafts
  6. Chop or deliver firewood
  7. Salt the walkway
  8. Volunteer to help take down holiday decorations
  9. Check their emergency kit
  10. Pick up groceries or prescriptions in bad weather

How do you help others in the winter?

  12. I offer to go out and do their shopping for them on my days off, when the weather is bad and I don’t want them out in it doing it themselves! Every single one of them are so thankful that I offer to do this for them and I never take a dime from them to do it, as I am making good money now and I can afford to do it for them without them paying me any money… All I want is a hug and a kiss on the cheek and definitely a smile from each one of them in knowing how much I care for them and truly do love them all to pieces!! Love ? conquers all! Julie

If arrends are needed i will let them know i will do them. They really dont need to be out unless there is appointments. They always ask me if the side walk or ramp is slick and i let them know yes or no and i will make sure it is safe for them. Always make sure they are safe and comfortable.
