Taking walks is the new go-to exercise for many people right now. Make their walks even more enjoyable by posting positive messages for them to see. Doodle them on sidewalks with chalk, make posters for your windows or put out homemade yard signs.

This is a great family activity. You could even have a neighborhood contest to see who can create the most inspiring home.

Here are 10 encouraging messages you can use to help spread positivity in your neighborhood.

  1. 6 feet apart, but together in our hearts.
  2. We’re all in this together.
  3. Be kind.
  4. Spread positivity!

  6. Don’t give up.
  7. Brighter days ahead.

Also as I shopped thought of some things that a senior neighbor might need like yogurt, bananas, onions etc. and delivered them, just to be a blessing.

  35. I’ve been working as a cna for 37 years and I love to work with the elderly. Its something that gives me pride and I love to listen to thier stories about how they rode in a horse carriage with a escourt so they would ride in it with chaperone. I would love to talk to these two sisters who actually wanted to give me a beautiful old jewelry box but I told them that I would appreciate it and I couldn’t except it. They really looked like they were disappointed because they couldn’t give it to me. I really love to take care of them and I feel like I have a bigger heart when I help anyone. This is my favorite thing to do. Since I was 16 years old I decided that I wanted to help the elderly and I would help them feel comfortable with me, that makes it easier to do for them whatever they needed . I always made sure that I had extra time to do things like washing a residents hair while she was in bed, she had cancer and couldn’t move at all, no body else would wash her hair,so her hair would always looked greasy so I would take a bathing pan and I would wash her hair with one hand to wash and rinse her hair, she looked happy with her eyes because she couldn’t move at all but I could see how much better she felt that made the job worth it all. I figure that they took care of thier children and was struck by a illness deserves to be treated like a person not just an resident who you look in on every couple of hours, that’s not write because they can’t ring for help so I would check her around every hour to see what her eyes were telling me if she wanted help. If I had to choose the one thing that I wanted to do I would have chosen to do this all over again..

  36. I have worked as a cna for 16 years and I have had the opportunity to work with some of the best people doing their job.My care mission is to help people who don’t have the ability to care for themselves. This is what I do and I’m giving back to them because they were young once and took care of thier children and family members so I believe that its time for someone to care about them .
