Sep 28 Care Mission
Commit to an Active DayHealth experts say that just a few active minutes a day can lead to a healthier life at any age, but exercise doesn’t have to be hard, boring or expensive for it to improve your well-being!
Connect with a senior friend in person or virtually and commit to doing a fun physical activity this week. Try letting your hair down and dancing in the living room or walking in a park you’ve never visited! Here are a few things to keep in mind before you get active:
- Wear comfortable clothes. Wearing comfortable clothes and shoes can ensure that you are not restricted and helps prevent injury while performing an activity.
- Stay Hydrated. Have plenty of water before, during and after your activity, especially if you’re exercising outside.
- As long as you’re having fun and staying active, any exercise will be beneficial in keeping you healthy.
If you have an existing health condition, consult a doctor and ask if they have any recommended exercises you can enjoy safely.
